North America’s largest land mammal: BISON! #NationalBisonDay Bison can weigh up to 2000 pounds and be almost 2 meters in height! Despite their size and weight, they are able to jump over obstacles that are almost 6 feet high! Bison calves are born with an orange-red or cinnamon-colored coat which lasts for the first few months. Eventually, they will grow a dark brown coat as well as a large shoulder hump and horns!
