*Not my deer, hired to restore it* Fixing up these eyes by cleaning them and adding a nice wet waterline. The tear ducts needed extra love as they were cracked over time and not very well indented. It is easier to do them right the first time than to go back and correct them years later but I did as much as I could with the canvas I was given. A quick touch up of the nose and this guy can go back home! #immortaltaxidermy #taxidermy #taxidermyart #deer #restoration | Immortal Taxidermy

***VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED*** I have had a few people ask me how I did the body for the tiny song bird. A beautiful little creature this size needs a custom made body. If I wanted it to be lightweight, I could cast the original body and it would hardly weigh anything. Because I wanted it to show a bit of weight while hanging from the wicker nest, I wanted a slight angle to it and used critter clay instead. This allowed me to customize the size to match the original body, and I used a small ben

Beyond grateful! Throughout the year I brought this to several different state competitions. I received 1st place at every single one as well as an additional award for best reptile out of all submitted. I am so happy with the turn out from all of the work I put into this! Thank you everyone who encouraged and supported me! Thank you to those who voted for me and attended the competitions in each state. Thank you to each taxidermy association for acknowledging my work and recognizing it. And of

Graphic language x12 Did I have fun putting together this puzzle? Nope. But am I glad I did? Yup! I definitely said I wouldn't do another one but I have a 10ft snake skeleton in the works already waiting for me as soon as I catch up on some of my customers! #immortaltaxidermy #taxidermy #boneart #skeleton #bones #taxidermyart #cooltaxidermy #artist #artists #artistic #taxidermyofinstagram #taxidermyinstagram #taxidermyartist #badass #snake #snakes #snakeskeleton #skeletons | Immortal Taxidermy

My taxidermy shop is still being renovated so I am doing this fun piece in my kitchen just in time for the holidays. This is not a commission piece so it will be for sale! I couldn't get this idea out of my head and went to 3 different stores to find the perfect vibe I was looking for. I wanted this wreath themed in a way that can work with Halloween, fall, and Christmas. Or if you have a vibey goth/gore style home it can stay up year round! Can't wait to see this in someone's home!! 😍 #immorta

I always give my customers the option to decide how they would like their skull presented. Since I am one of the few taxidermists in my area willing to include the lower jaw in all euro mounts, I show multiple angles of open versus closed before finalizing the look. Adding a deer tail is an additional charge but I love doing it! It is a really cool way to offer some contrast and see a bit more of the beautiful animal you harvested. Since this skull had canine teeth (rare!!!) I thought it would b

There are times where the animal I am working on looks so funny and this was one of those times. I keep this video in my bloopers album to cheer me up on my bad days. This uromastyx lizard was sewn and filled only to the neck so the head flopped down when I held it up to check the seam and I could not stop laughing. I guess I'm still pretty childish as a 31 year old woman 😂 #immortaltaxidermy #taxidermy #taxidermist #darkhumor #sorry | Immortal Taxidermy
