🔥 Fire cupping uses heat to create a negative pressure (vacuum) inside glass or bamboo cups. A flame is quickly introduced into the cup to heat the air, then removed immediately before placing the cup on the skin. As the air inside the cup cools rapidly, it contracts—this creates a suction effect that draws the skin and superficial muscle layer into the cup. A plunger can be an effective way to clear a shower drain because it uses suction and pressure rather than chemicals. When the rubber cup seals over the drain opening the pushing and pulling motion helps loosen hair soap residue and light buildup that often causes slow drainage. For best results there should be enough water in the shower to cover the bottom of the plunger and create a tight seal. Removing the drain cover if possible and blocking any nearby overflow openings can improve suction.
