Vauxhall Chevette which you may know as the Opel Kadett C, is based on the GM t-car platform and went global. Whilst quite a few examples have survived, I think it went largely unnoticed that this car reached its 50th anniversary this year. Like many cars of the 70s and 80s, the Chevette had tartan patterned cloth seats, it also very often had the well known 1256cc engine, pushing out around about 58hp. Many cars reached their 50 year, the golden anniversary, this year. Some of these milestone m
