In the UK, cervical screening (often called a smear test) is available for most women, some trans men, and non-binary people with a cervix, who are aged 25 to 64. It can prevent cervical cancer by spotting the human papillomavirus (HPV) or changes to the cells in the cervix caused by HPV.
