West Yorkshire police are investigating after a fatal road traffic collision where a man has died in Saltaire. Officers were called at 6.45pm last night (Sunday 7 December) to reports that a car a silver Range Rover Evoque had gone into the canal at Hirst Mill Crescent, Saltaire. Emergency services attended and officers entered the water and rescued a man from the vehicle. Medical treatment was given to a 74-year-old man but sadly he was pronounced dead at the scene.
