Congratulations to our director, Bob Smith, on his retirement after 28 years of service to Baltimore County. His recreation and parks career started as a part-time job chalking baseball diamonds as a 16 year old. He worked through the department’s ranks and was named director in 2023. One of his last responsibilities in the role was cutting the ribbon on nearly $3 million in improvements to the Banneker Community Center in Catonsville on Friday. Help us wish Director Smith the best in his retire
