I decided to finally play No Man's Sky a short while back. I love open world survival and exploration games. After 8 years of regular updates, I thought for sure I would get some enjoyment out of it. Unfortunately, it just fell flat for me. Each world feels empty and repetitive while the game is also somewhat directionless.

for reference: 500 trintium (aka a "cargo stack") turns into 80 tonnes of fuel, with roughly 40 di-hidrodgen left over. I have tried multiple methods for gathering fuel, but all of them are too tedious for me. I have tried using exocraft to gather large amounts of Di-hydrogen, but sentinels and low yield make this method slow and annoying.

If you're the type of person who likes games where you collect resources, craft a bunch of stuff, build your own base, etc. you will love this game. Same if you love exploration, discovery and hoarding tons of items.

Dec 29, 2023 · There is no "best base material". It's matter of taste, really. Some people like to build in timber or stone. They all give you the same protection. I like alloy because they look futuristic and it's a sci-fi game.
