Take a right at the end of ramp and follow Rt. 4 South for 3/10 of a mile until you come into Chelmsford Center. You will pass the Town Common on the right and the Chelmsford Fire Dept. on your left.

Chelmsford’s first cemetery was established circa 1655. 1690 is the date of the first stone bearing an inscription, but a few uninscribed stones of rough surface appear to mark the earliest graves.
