BOISE — Idaho Gov. Brad Little on Thursday signed House Bill 93 — a $50 million tax credit that can go toward educational expenses, including private school tuition. This is the first time in state history that state funds will be able to go toward private and religious K-12 education.

BOISE, Idaho — Governor Brad Little signed House Bill 93 on Thursday to create a Parental Choice Tax Credit program — the program will allow parents to receive up to a $5,000 tax credit per child to use for private education.

The bill will allow parents to apply for an annual, refundable tax credit of up to $5,000 for “qualified expenses” for grade school children and $7,500 for students with disabilities.
