Rory McIlroy played golf with President Donald Trump before the inauguration, reversing a vow made after the last time they enjoyed a round. The Holywood golfer, in 2020, said he would never play a round with Trump again.

McIlroy shot a final-round 6-under 66 on Sunday and rolled to a two-stroke victory over Shane Lowry at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, his 2025 season debut on the PGA Tour. "To win at one of the cathedrals of golf is really, really cool," McIlroy said.
