Area law enforcement and emergency management agencies are warning drivers to avoid high waters and use caution. Flood warnings are in effect for several counties in East Tennessee. 6 News’ crews and viewers have captured photos of flooding, heavy rain and trees down throughout the region.

However, residents in the area say road conditions like flooding aren’t that surprising. “No, when it rains three or four days, this is the norm. It rises pretty quick. You got to be ready for it,” said Sevier county resident and “The Company” LLC’s Nate Raney.
