Southern Water are working to complete “urgent repairs” on Western Esplanade in Southampton city centre. The water company has been on the scene of a leak since yesterday morning.

Pelham Street Westbound closed due to long-term roadworks from A308 Brompton Road to B304. Until 9th February 2026.

Lane closed due to emergency repairs and gas main work on A249 Knightrider Street Southbound from Knightrider Court to A229 Mill Street. Until 0:00 on 26th August.

Fore Lane both ways closed due to gas main work between Jerry Lane and St Peters Avenue. Until 23:55 on 19th September.

Temporary traffic lights due to water main work on A59 Whalley Road both ways at Myerscough Smithy Road. Until 0:00 on 22nd August.
