For two nights this weekend, the Savannah Bananas brought their unique brand of baseball to Chicago for the first time. And fans at Rate Field got their money’s worth.
There’s a hot ticket next weekend at PNC Park. Nope, it isn’t Bob Nutting bobblehead night. Nor is it Beyoncé to make up for the canceled August 2023 show. It’s not the Pirates (who are in the basement of the NL Central).
The Savannah Bananas played two sold-out games at Chicago’s Rate Field this week, and they had plenty of help making the trip a memorable one.
The Savannah Bananas are saving us—rescuing our childhood love of sports. They’re curing our sports boredom. If fun and laughter are the best medicine, then stop calling them “tickets” to a Savannah Bananas game. Call it what it really is: a co-pay.
