Lewis Hamilton says Ferrari is “in the mix” at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix after a competitive showing at Silverstone on Friday. Hamilton led the way in FP1 before taking third in Friday's second practice session behind Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc, as Ferrari looks to be McLaren's closest rival both in qualifying laps and on long runs.

Halfway into the the season, Lewis Hamilton's move to Ferrari is yet to be called a success having not managed a single podium so far but there is hope with performance improving over a course of time.

Lewis Hamilton said he and Ferrari can “dream” of having a strong weekend at Silverstone after the Briton was one of the quickest cars on track. Friday has typically been Hamilton’s worst day of the weekend this season but his topping of FP1 and P3 in FP2 bucked the trend in front of his home crowd.
