The SEC commissioner says the 2026 conference football schedule should be released soon, but there is "a lot of work to be done."

Greg Sankey says that the CFP selection committee's willingness to 'move a little bit' paved the way for the SEC's move to a 9-game schedule.

In addition to possibly aiding the conference in CFP and bowl slots, the new nine-game conference schedule will be better for fans according to Commissioner Sankey.
