The Chicago Bears moved quickly to sign former Colts edge rusher Dayo Odeyingbo in 2025 free agency, and his contract shows just how much they wanted him.

The Colts entered free agency ranked 20th in available salary cap space and with a number of positions to address. While one can reason why adding to defensive end could make sense, it is far from a top priority with Laiatu Latu, Kwity Paye, and Samson Ebukam all under contract yet.
