Bill Chisholm has officially completed his $6.1 billion purchase of the Celtics from Wyc Grousbeck and is the team's new owner.

Wyc Grousbeck will no longer stay on as governor as part of the Celtics' $6.1 billion sale to Bill Chisholm, sources told ESPN.

The Celtics have made it official with the leadership structure between new governor Bill Chisholm and longtime owner Wyc Grousbeck.

Per senior ESPN reporter Ramona Shelburne in a recent social media post, "while Bill Chisholm will technically be the Celtics Governor, he and ... Grousbeck plan to run the team together as originally planned." This will have Chisholm as the team's official governor and Grousbeck serving as an alternate governor, according to Shelburne.
