Senate Minority Leader Kathy Hogan, of Fargo, announced Thursday, Jan. 15, that she will retire as a state senator when her term ends this year. She has served in the state Senate since 2019.

The North Dakota Secretary of State’s office is accepting votes through 11:59 p.m. Jan. 23 for one of four finalist designs. The winning entry will be announced in March. Voting is limited to North Dakota residents, with one submission per person.
