Henry Cejudo says he would've been livid if Dominick Cruz pulled out of their fight next weekend. Fortunately for Cejudo, the former two-division champion wasn't scheduled to face Cruz at UFC Seattle and will instead meet Song Yadong in the main event.
The UFC is in Seattle, WA tonight (February 22) for a UFC Fight Night event headlined by a pair of top-ranked bantamweights.
The UFC flees to the northernmost major city in the United States this Saturday for a card in Seattle. The card has lost a few fights due to injury, as Dominick Cruz pulled out of his fight with Rob Font and also retired after suffering a shoulder injury in training camp.
All 24 fighters across the 12 scheduled bouts successfully made weight, ensuring the card remains intact, with headliners Cejudo and Song ready to go.
UFC Seattle is set to take place this Saturday (February 22), and today 24 fighters will step on the scale to weigh-in for the event.
Song accidentally poked Cejudo in the eye midway through Round 3, but Cejudo opted to continue fighting after using all five minutes to try and recover. However, by the end of Round 3, Cejudo complained to his corner that he couldn’t see, and the commission decided to put an end to the fight by going to the judges’ scorecards.
