Shane Gillis returns to Studio 8H for an out-of-date episode that mined the comedian's own politically incorrect, trigger-happy style of humor.
Shane Gillis made his return to "Saturday Night Live" as host for the second time since he was fired from the program in 2019. Gillis joined the cast in 2019, but was fired shortly thereafter when a 2018 YouTube video of the comedian using a racial slur on “Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast” resurfaced.
Live is back in full swing on the 2025 TV schedule following its star-studded 50 th anniversary special, with Shane Gillis having returned as the host for February's final ep. (Check out all the upcoming guest hosts here.
