ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. ( WALA) - The Florida Department of Transportation announced that I-10 will be closed in both directions. The closure will stretch from the Alabama/Florida state line to Exit 192 at Highway 90 in Gadsden County. The closure is due to the freezing conditions and remaining ice and snow on the roads.
County officials put out a notice that the general public should delay or suspend travel and only emergency vehicles should be on the roads at this time. “Effective January 21, 2025, all roads and bridges in Mobile County should be considered IMPASSABLE until further notice,” the notice said.
