Tiger Woods has now announced he will not play in this week’s Genesis Invitational at the Torrey Pines Golf Club in La Jolla, Calif.

Tiger Woods has withdrawn from this week’s Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines, saying he’s “just not ready” to do so. Monday’s announcement comes less than a week after his mother, Kultida, passed away. Woods did not give a cause for her death when he delivered the unfortunate news via social media on Feb. 4.

Tiger Woods will make his 2025 PGA Tour debut next week at the Genesis Invitational, the annual tournament he hosts that this year has been moved from the Los Angeles area to San Diego.
