Kansas State Women's Basketball secured a hard-fought 59-50 victory over No. 9 TCU, claiming sole possession of first place in the Big 12. Serena Sundell led the way with 27 points, while K-State’s defense shut down the Horned Frogs.

Sundell led K-State to an important 59-50 victory over TCU which gave the No. 10 Wildcats sole possession of first place in the conference standings. She guided her team past the No. 9 Horned Frogs by scoring 27 points, grabbing six rebounds and dishing out four assists.

TCU traveled to Manhattan to take on Kansas State Wednesday night. The ninth-ranked TCU squad faced a career night from Wildcats guard Serena Sundell.

Serena Sundell scored a season-high 27 points, Jaelyn Glenn had 14 and No. 12 Kansas State outlasted No. 9 TCU 59-50 on Wednesday night to take sole possession of first place in the Big 12 in a matchup of the conference leaders.

The Wildcats (22-2, 10-1) took sole possession of first place in the Big 12 and also took the tiebreaker over TCU (21-3, 9-2) with the win. TCU was unable to take advantage of Kansas State being without its best player, Ayoka Lee, who has missed the last four games with an ankle injury.

Behind a season second-best 7,477 in attendance, All-Big 12 standout Serena Sundell, the nation’s leader in assists, proved why she is one of the best overall players in the country with 27 points, six rebounds and four assists. 23 of her 27 points came in the second half which she made 9-13 field goals, dominating in the paint.
