PLACER COUNTY, Calif. (WKRC) - Former Major League Baseball pitcher Danny Serafini has been found guilty of first-degree murder and attempted murder of his in-laws, Robert Gary Spohr and Wendy Wood, a Placer County jury determined on Monday. The verdict was confirmed by a news release from the Placer County District Attorney's Office.
The jury returned guilty verdicts for the former baseball player in connection with the 2021 attack at the Homewood residence of his wife’s parents.
Prosecutors told the jury that Serafini snuck into his in-laws’ house while his wife and their two children were spending time with her parents on the lake and he waited four hours for his family
