Irmo, coming off a heartbreaking loss to Las Vegas, shut out Honolulu, Hawaii, 3-0 in baseball at the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pa.

Summerlin South defeated Utah, 6-3, in the Mountain Region tournament final to advance to the Little League World Series. The Mountain representatives join Connecticut as the only undefeated American teams left in Williamsport, and Summerlin South has not lost a postseason game this entire summer, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The Summerlin South Little League team kept its winning streak alive and brought home the victory after scoring the game’s only run in the extra inning. On Monday, Aug. 17, Summerlin South defeated Irmo from South Carolina in the Little League World Series.

The Summerlin South baseball team stepped onto the national stage at the Little League World Series and took home the win on Wednesday.

For the third straight year, Summerlin South Little League from Las Vegas will compete for a Little League World Series title.
