Tom Holland is playing it cool as the internet swirls with speculation over who will take up the mantle of James Bond. The British actor addressed the persistent rumours in a recent appearance on Gordon Ramsay’s YouTube channel, where he coyly acknowledged the buzz but stopped short of any confirmation.

Holland, best known for playing Peter Parker in several films within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, admitted he was conscious of the rumours during an interview with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. “Listen, there’s speculation at the minute. We’ll keep it to a minimum for now,” he said, in a video posted on YouTube. “We’ll get there one day.”

Earlier this week news broke that Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight was being eyed as the writer of the next James Bond film. On Friday, Aug. 1 Knight confirmed the rumors during an interview with BBC Radio 5's Live Breakfast while revealing he's "hoping that being a Bond fan for so many years" will bleed into his script.

A Knight-penned Bond adventure is massively exciting, although it's worth remembering that the film is still in the very early stages – in fact we’re still waiting on the announcement on who will be donning the tuxedo in the next Bond adventure following Daniel Craig’s retirement in No Time to Die.
