Andrew Novak and Ben Griffin shot a 1-under 71 in alternate-shot play Sunday to become first-time PGA Tour winners — by one stroke — at the Zurich Classic.

The defending champions made a big move on Saturday, but have lots of work to do Sunday to catch Novak and Griffin

The win was just as gratifying for Griffin, a 28-year-old Chapel Hill, N.C., who entered the Zurich with 12 top-10 placings, including runner-up finishes at the 2024 RBC Canadian Open and the 2023 Sanderson Farms Championship.
