The disaster is beginning to resemble the neighborhood-level devastation seen during Southern California's deadly Palisades fire.

The fires have consumed thousands of acres, destroyed homes and forced residents to evacuate.

An arson arrest has been made in connection with the Old Trails Fire as officials confirm more than 700 structures destroyed and roughly 65,000 people evacuated across Spokane and Stevens counties.

Douglas County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that the Chelan Hills Fire has spread to between 15,000 and 20,000 acres, according to KIRO 7 News. As of July 5, the fire is actively burning in Douglas County, Washington, near Orondo and the Chelan Hills area.

About 60,000 people have been evacuating as three fires rage around Spokane, Washington.

Satellite images captured by NASA show thick plumes of wildfire smoke streaming across eastern Washington as the Spokane-area fires continue to burn, damaging hundreds of structures, prompting evacuations and pushing air quality to dangerous levels.

Evacuation orders issued for areas bordered by Strong Road to the north, Francis Avenue to the south, Five Mile Road to the west, and Cedar Road to the east.
