Inviting sunshine will greet you on Friday in the Philadelphia region, but don't be fooled, it will be bitterly cold.
By midafternoon, the snow had stopped. Half an inch was recorded in Center City, while in the nearby parts of the collar counties, totals hovered around 1 to 2 inches, reaching 3 and 4 inches closer to the Lehigh Valley.
Drivers in hilly communities such as Conshohocken, Roxborough, and Manayunk say slick conditions can quickly become treacherous, especially on side streets.

FOX 29 Meteorologist Drew Anderson says snow is on the way for the region, with the heaviest amounts expected north and west of Philadelphia and a sharp drop in temperatures to follow.
Temperatures on Thursday are due to hover around freezing with a brisk westerly wind gusting up to 30 mph (sympathies to all bikers and runners and those who are navigating those Center City wind tunnels), and then drop into the 20s after sunset with windchills in the teens.
Philadelphia's cloudy morning will clear up, with sunny conditions and brisk winds later; temperatures to drop to 31°F by evening.
According to 6ABC, Sunday will be perfect football weather, breezy and cooler with more sun, with a high of 49.
