The Yale Code lacks the connectivity of smart locks, yet it still offers keypad support, Auto-Lock, and the option to toggle settings directly from the lock.

The new lock will be able to be unlocked by entry code, the app and a physical key. Something else to keep an eye on is Yale's stated battery life for the new lock, which is rated at 12 months.

But aside from that, the Yale Smart Lock with Matter looks like an appealing smart lock. Users can create and edit codes for the lock, set schedules, view activity, and receive notifications.
