The National Weather Service released an updated winter weather advisory at 8:48 p.m. EST on Monday valid from Tuesday 7 p.m. EST until Wednesday 7 a.m. EST for Keweenaw, Ontonagon, Houghton and Gogebic counties.
A winter storm brought over half a foot of snow to Michigan's Upper Peninsula Sunday, Jan. 4, according to the National Weather Service. Accumulations were highest in the western U.P., with light to moderate snowfall reaching up to 8 inches in Deerton, Jan. 4 and Jan. 5 snowfall reports from weather stations and observers say.
