A wind-swept solar panel flew off a Brooklyn carport, striking a woman in the head and leaving her dead, city investigators ruled Monday. The large panel, roughly 3-feet by 7-feet, came off its frame at a parking lot in Brighton Beach Sunday morning around 10:30 a.m. and smacked the woman in the head.

The 76-year-old woman was killed when strong winds ripped a solar panel from the top of a carport in an outdoor parking lot, sending it flying about 20 feet before striking her.
