WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Former Winston-Salem Red Sox manager Bill Slack, a revered figure in minor league baseball and the winningest manager in Carolina League history, died Sunday, at the age of 92.
Former Winston-Salem Red Sox manager Bill Slack has died. According to the Winston-Salem Dash organization, Slack died on Nov. 9. He spent more than two decades working as a manager in the world of baseball.
