John Korir obliterated the course record, and he and Sharon Lokedi both repeated their winning performances. Marcel Hug won his fourth straight men's wheelchair race, and Eden Rainbow-Cooper took the women's title.

Henry Richard, the older brother of Boston Marathon bombing victim Martin Richard, finished the 130th Boston Marathon on Monday afternoon. Richard finished with a time of 4 hours, 34 minutes, and 13 seconds. "It was good; I couldn't have asked for a better day," Richard said. "The Boston Marathon is one of the best days of the year."

Defending champion John Korir broke the Boston Marathon course record on Monday, riding a tailwind to a win in two hours one minute 42 seconds, the fifth-fastest marathon of all time. Calgary-born Rory Linkletter ran his best marathon in 2:06:04.

Astronaut Suni Williams, a Massachusetts native who was stuck aboard the International Space Station for months after trouble with an experimental spacecraft, finished the 130th Boston Marathon in 5:52:49.
