Demko left the game in the second period. His sudden exit along with his shaky injury history had some fans fearing for the worst. It was just his 10th start since returning from a poplitieus injury in his knee back which he suffered in last year’s playoffs.

It didn’t take long for Canucks fans to panic after Thatcher Demko exited early in the second period of the Vancouver Canucks’ shootout win over the Seattle Kraken on Thursday night.

In an injury update, the Vancouver Canucks will be without two of their biggest stars, Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson, for their upcoming road games against the Calgary Flames on Tuesday and the Seattle Kraken on Thursday.

After an awkward but somewhat harmless looking bump, goaltender Thatcher Demko “will not return to tonight’s game,” writes the Vancouver Canucks RR department in a statement released Thursday night.
