The Los Angeles Rams are one of those teams. Not only does Matthew Stafford not have any guaranteed money on his contract after this season, but Jimmy Garoppolo is also an impending free agent. That leaves either bringing back a 38-year-old Stafford or 34-year-old Garoppolo,

Head coach Kevin Stefanski stated that the starters would get in work against the Rams, about 25-30 snaps. However, there are a handful of starters who will not hit the field as the Browns have listed the players who are not expected to play in the preseason finale.

Now 38 years old and dealing with back issues throughout training camp, it has become increasingly obvious that Stafford is reaching the end of his NFL tenure. The possibility of retirement has been floated for the former Super Bowl champion, and it's also becoming very clear that Los Angeles is preparing to move on.
