Louisville football has much to learn after its first loss of the season to Notre Dame. Here are three takeaways from the Week 5 road contest.

As a reminder, in PFF's grading scale, 60.0 is the baseline for an "average" grade. 70.0-79.9 is considered above average, 80.0-89.9 is good, whereas 90.0 and higher is elite. Notre Dame is 3-1. Notre Dame opened the season with a 23-13 victory over Texas A&M in College State, Texas, before falling in its home opener to Mid-American Conference school Northern Illinois, 16-14, in a stunner for the Irish. The Irish bounced back with a 66-7 victory at Purdue and then dispatched Miami (Ohio), 28-3, last weekend at home.
