LAS VEGAS – Mark Armstrong and Judah Mintz combined for 43 points while Philadelphia forced 20 turnovers to fuel the 76ers’ 87-83 comeback win over the Brooklyn Nets in an NBA 2K26 Summer League consolation game at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Friday.
Last season, the 76ers were expected to be near the top of the Eastern Conference and competing for a spot in the NBA Finals. Instead, Joel Embiid missed the majority of the season, while Paul George and Tyrese Maxey each dealt with their own injuries, leading to the 76ers’ demise.
The 19-year-old poured in a game-high 28 points on 13 of 27 shooting, hauled in 10 rebounds, dished out four assists, made two blocks and had just two turnovers. While Edgecombe struggled from beyond the arc (1 of 7) and from the charity stripe (1 of 3), it won't take away from the fact that his Summer League debut was a resounding success.
Johni Broome leads Philadelphia with 22 points and 14 rebounds and Mark Armstrong impresses with 22 points off the bench.
After selecting two very exciting players in the 2025 NBA Draft, the Philadelphia 76ers' free agency period was much more of a mixed bag.
