'Full House' Star Is Cast as Iconic Marvel Character in New Project originally appeared on Parade. John Stamos, known for his role as Jesse Katsopolis in Full House, has been cast to voice Tony Stark's father, Howard Stark, for the upcoming animated Marvel series, Iron Man and his Awesome Friends.
Marvel plans to introduce new actors to play these characters. Feige explained that this change is connected to the storyline of 'Secret Wars', where different timelines crash into each other.
The reboot will unify the MCU into a singular timeline, allowing Marvel to recast legacy characters like Iron Man and Captain America. Feige compared the process to other iconic franchises: “They’re looking for a new James Bond. David Corenswet is the new Superman, and he’s been incredible. That’s always how it works”.
