NBC Sports has found its lead play-by-play announcer for MLB coverage. Jason Benetti is expected to make his debut on March 26 when NBC and Peacock broadcast a game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Detroit Tigers play-by-play announcer Jason Benetti has been named NBC’s lead MLB broadcaster as the network returns to baseball coverage. He will still call Tigers games.

Jason Benetti will be the new voice of MLB “Sunday Night Baseball” telecasts. NBC formally announced the hire of Benetti, the Detroit Tigers’ play-by-play broadcaster, hours after Front Office Sports broke the news earlier in the day Wednesday.
