Newcastle's new winger Anthony Elanga says what Eddie's Howe's side are building is "really special" and he wants "to help create more history." The 23-year-old, who made the switch from Nottingham Forest on Friday, will add to Howe's attacking options as they prepare a return to Champions League football.

Elanga was born in Malmo, Sweden, where his father Joseph played as a defender. Anthony played for Elfsborg as a child, but when the family moved to Manchester in 2013, he was scouted by both Manchester City and Manchester United. He signed for the latter and progressed through the academy to make his senior debut in May 2021, aged 19.

Anthony Elanga completed a move from Nottingham Forest to Newcastle for a reported 55 million pounds ($74 million) on Friday. The Sweden international signed what Newcastle described as a long-term deal.
