Days before jury selection was set at the courthouse, the District Attorney’s Office announced they will no longer be going for the death penalty in the case against Calvin Crew.

Prosecutors will no longer seek the death penalty against a Pitcairn man accused of killing his Uber driver nearly three years ago. The move was made Thursday by the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office just four days before jury selection is scheduled to begin in the case against Calvin Crew,

President Joe Biden said, “In good conscience, I cannot stand back and let a new administration resume executions that I halted.”
