Releasing Jarrett had to sting for Falcons owner Arthur Blank. The veteran was the face of the defense and locker room leader in Atlanta.

Jarrett has ended his Falcons tenure with 36.5 sacks, 496 tackles, and two Pro Bowl appearances. From 2017 to 2022, he recorded four or more sacks in each season except for one. Injuries shortened his 2023 campaign and he finished the year with just 1.5 sacks and 23 tackles. However, he bounced back in 2024 with 53 tackles and 12 quarterback hits.

Grady Jarrett is moving on from Atlanta for the first time in his 10-year career. The Falcons are releasing Jarrett, per NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported on Monday.
